What vegetation management means when it comes to infrastructure

Vegetation management for rights-of-way and infrastructure coordinators is systematic, deliberate work. The objective is to control unwanted plant growth. This must be done for safety, access, and reliable operations. The work applies to four primary environments.

Utility corridors — the strips of land beneath and around power transmission and distribution lines where tall-growing vegetation can contact wires, cause outages, or in dry conditions, create fire risk.
