Fewer mosquitoes, all season

Ives Contracting reduces mosquito populations on military installations, public grounds and facilities across Virginia and northeastern North Carolina, where warm, wet seasons make mosquitoes a health and comfort problem for staff and residents.

Programs start with an inspection to find breeding and resting sites. We remove or reduce standing-water sources where we can, apply larvicide to breeding water that cannot be removed, apply barrier treatments to vegetation where adult mosquitoes rest, and repeat on a seasonal schedule.

Common questions

How does your mosquito control work?

We inspect for breeding and resting sites, reduce standing-water sources where possible, apply larvicide to breeding water, apply barrier treatments to vegetation where adults rest, and repeat on a seasonal schedule.

Can you combine mosquito control with vegetation work?

Yes. Our vegetation crews can mow and clear brush that gives mosquitoes resting habitat, as part of the same program.

Can federal agencies order this through GSA?

Yes. Pest control is on our GSA Multiple Award Schedule, 47QSMS25D00CF under SIN 325320. Agencies can order through GSA Advantage, request quotes through eBuy, or email gsa@ivescontracting.com.

Where do you provide this service?

We are licensed in Virginia and North Carolina and work across all of Virginia and northeastern North Carolina. Our GSA contract covers all 48 states and D.C.; requirements outside Virginia and North Carolina are reviewed case by case.
