Utility Vegetation Management
Right-of-way mowing, herbicide and bare-ground programs for electric, gas and pipeline utilities and railroads, from a certified woman-owned small business.
Built for utility programs
Ives Contracting has provided vegetation work for utilities, including Dominion Energy, since 2017. We handle the ground-level work, including mowing, brush control, herbicide and bare-ground programs, on electric, gas and pipeline rights-of-way, substations, stations and railroad corridors across Virginia and northeastern North Carolina.
Herbicide work is done by licensed applicators who are Ives employees, not subcontracted spray crews. Every application is recorded and kept on file for three years, as state regulations require, and we follow each utility’s site-access and safety requirements.
Ives is an SBA woman-owned small business with Virginia DBE and SWaM certification (#805517), which can help utilities and their prime contractors meet supplier-diversity goals.
